A Human life is but a merest flicker in an otherwise deep and infinite precession of time.
Even in the face of our own mortality, our human desire for experience never ceases. That sense of endlessness flows through us with beautiful and unstoppable force.

Our most ancient mythologies were born out of the innate human desire for continuity and understanding. Cultural myths from across the world lend to the generations the renewed capacity to dilate time, to open it out and peer deep, past the shadows of reality to a vivid dreamtime realm where the primal archetypes of human consciousness dwell.

When we look at the antiquity of a circle of seven standing stones perhaps today this is all we see, but when our early ancestors looked at a stone, it was not a piece of inert and heavy matter that they saw. A stone was a revelation of the sacred in the ancient world. The characteristics of stone embodied a wealth of uncompromising strength, permanence, and an absolute state of being that was distinct from the vulnerable and transient human condition. The Stones very otherness made it holy.
This painting looks anew at a circle seven standing stones and the animate hidden force powerfully at work in all natural phenomena.
