‘Occulted Burns’ refers to unseen injuries anguished by definition. An occultation is a blocking of the view of one object from another object by a third object. The painting refers to the unseen and internal space of trauma that hovers on the verge of narcissim and an emptiness that reaches to grasp the ideal.
